Ceiling completion

The Ceiling has been quickly completed. A lot more really by comparison to some of the other models we've painted which is great. This is probably because the whole surface is basically one whole plain that we don't have to worry about the edges. As these will go into the walls and blend into the shelves.

The image above was cropped and blend by Chrys early on before production began.
I made a basic texture pass in Substance and placed that as a material in Unreal to get a feel how the final result would look like. After that Chrys took over the role of doing the final texture for the Ceiling. This frees me up to push forward with modelling the texturing the final assets.

The near final result can be seen below. We were kind of torn between this look and the glowing lines effect that would add another unique lighting effect for the magical look of the interior, but seeing as the scene is already pretty well lit up and don't want to overdo it, we decided to just leave that as the side option and leave the ceiling none-luminescent.

This really helps to bring the whole interior together, and sent the massage that this is indeed a witches house.
