The Sofa has gone into the livingroom. But this had to be done a little differently from what we had originally planned.

Because we were working right up to the park to get as much done as possible I really didn't have time to make the base model from scratch in Zbrush and do a retopology, so I used to use the original blockout instead as a base.

Thankfully I only had to add a few extra edges to the Sofa and apply Soft function in Maya to give the surfaces a more comfortable look before moving onto UV unwrapping.

The texturing for this has definitely helped to add extra resemblance to the source reference in the animated series, and getting round some of the limits coursed by the more simple form of the blockout base. This has been helped by the use of Height brushed in Substance to give greater depth to the edges of the top and big owl eye of the Sofa.

On the whole I quite like how this compromise turned out in some ways and will continue to work further on this and other parts of the project with Chrys after the environment has been submitted to try and create a truly presentable piece of interior design art.

Now that this has been finished of just in time the short video flythrough for the submission can made and submitted.
