First Post: GART230 Environment Project

This is the first project for my second year Game Art environment module.

The purpose of this module is to recreate an interior environment based on a film or series.

This project is being done with one other person (Chrysanthi Paparouni). We are working together to create Eda's Living-room from the hit animated series The Owl House.

We went through multiple options but eventually landed on the interior aesthetic of this house because of its abundance of interesting small assets, wonderful feeling in the atmosphere that a viewer would like to sit in, great colour palette and has at the same time a nice hand-painted feeling to it that'll give us a greater chance of completing everything in time.


The idea for the scene is that it should have some good modularity with its assets or walls.

This can be done with our choice of interior because of the room's timber joists, shelves and multiple repeating oddities throughout the room.
