My First finish Interior Asset

Now that all the walls and sealing have been finished I've been able to move onto making my half of the completed in engine assets. This will start with all those from my part like with Chrys from our Trello board, which is from the Fireplace East Wall and main featured assets.

I've started with what the viewer might see when they first start in the room, even though the door won't actually be open.

The shape of the curls for the doorframe and handle change in different reference images so I had to try and make a balance between them. This's a problem I've had with the Fireplace too.

Trim Sheets have been completed a little while back though, so if it works I shouldn't have to add any extra extruded areas for my part of the work on the walls. Just have to make sure that the door comes out far enough so that the Trim Sheet doesn't visibly cut through it.

The archway on the other side of the room for the South Wall was made from the same doorframe by deleting the curls to save a little UV unwrapping time. Since looking at it in engine, it might be ok to not have a high poly texture set on top of the doorframe itself but just for the handle, but we'll see how this goes further on near the end of the project if the curls need more emphasis. The main door face, frame and handle will go on separate Lamberts in Maya to help prevent bleed cross in Substance Painter.
